Security psychology considers via social systemic search for contiguity and mutual complement of existing advances of psychology and conceptual security understanding. The ability of systemic vision of security and its cognitive and practical character are demonstrated. The possibility to investigate safety psychology as social theoretical construct is suggested. Multi-aspect approach to security is substantiated. Methodological challenges of psychological security are discussed.

This article describes a study of short and long term effects of media on the dander perception. With the new questionnaire «Dangerous situations assessment» were refined by the existing classification of dangers, as well as developed a new classification based on subjective perceptions of dangerous situations. We show the difference in perceptions of risk in men and women and especially their transformation under the influence of news coverage. We give recommendations for the compilation of news releases, taking into account the psychological mechanisms of perception of dangerous situations that are shown on television.

The main theme of the article is the system of foreseeing and managing social and psychological risks in emergency situation (ES) areas. The method is based on a risk estimation of adverse social processes and phenomena such as: mass aggressive, hysteroid, phobic and panic reaction, rumors. In the process of analyzing 36 emergency situations the authors have identified 24 factors that have the most significant influence on the socio-psychological situation in the ES area. Accounting for identified factors allows us to construct a model which can become a base for analyzing and forecasting risks of all adverse social processes. It will help to organize the process of rational resource distribution in ES areas and to achieve the needed level of public safety.

The article gives an account of the empirical study results involving 650 respondents. The aim of the study was to determine the degree of need for security satisfaction. The author’s research method (a questionnaire) is described. It is outlined that gender, age-related and profession-associated distinctions in representation of need-for-satisfaction components differ with representatives of various social and economic groups.

Gusserl, A.N. Leontiev, S.L. Rubinstein, M. Heidegger et al. In this work the idea of double transition: psychology to life and the life to psychology is suggested. This concept also conditions concepts of doubled horizon: immanent psychological and transcendent psychological. In that context the theory of temporal work of personality is developed to show the psychology of psychological help with its methodology, theory, psych technology, education, ethics, and way of life.

The article covers the problems of personal identity formation, identity transformations, special focus of the work is the methodological basis of personal identity formation research of adolescents, their “moving into adulthood” in the situation of social-economic instability and crisis. Personal identity formation is described as phenomenon in its transformations. As criteria for defining identity in adolescents we use stability of self-conceptions in time and readiness to make independent decisions in life. Thus different combinations of various levels of stability and readiness to make decisions will determine identity typology.

The article presents the research of narrative construction of life experience of the person in the process of psychological help. The research is based on a constructive method of analysis using meaning-narrative approach. The research shows that the narrative work of the person (NWP) in the process of psychological help is transferred to the real life situation — and this is the post-narrative, the real work that leads to the most intensive changes in the person. Transferred NWP determines human’s behavior in real life situations in accordance with the motivational tendencies found out during the analysis of narratives.

The results of investigation of psychological characteristics of 13 high-skilled rhythmic gymnasts are presented. The experimental procedure was conducted by means of “Sport imagery questionnaire” (SIQ) and objective methods (“Chronoscope-2006”, “Aktivaziometr”). It was shown that gymnasts prefer to use imageries of cognitive type but not motivational and use internal perspective of imagery versus external one. Participants were classified in all degree of movement’s coordination level, i.e. in spite of their professional high-level; they are varied in the way of mastering movement.

Burovikhina I.A. (2011). The subjective life picture of contemporary teenagers. The Moscow University Psychology Bulletin, 4, 148-160
The article presents results of the empirical study of the subjective life picture of contemporary teenagers, based on different milestones, represented in autobiographical memories or in the image of the future. In the empirical study using A. Kronik’s “Life Line” on the sample of 390 senior high school students the age-related differences between autobiographical memories and image of the future, specific emotional attitudes towards them, cultural specific and individual configuration of the memories and of the image of the future are shown. The image of the family takes a significant place in the image of the future of contemporary teenagers.

Rasskazova E.I., Leonova A.B., Pluzhnikov I.V. (2011). Development of the Russian version of the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire. The Moscow University Psychology Bulletin, 4, 161-179
The paper is devoted to validation of the Russian version of Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ). The questionnaire is aimed at evaluation of both “productive” and “destructive” cognitive strategies of affective moods’ regulation and is widely used in studies on coping with stress. The results of psychometric approbation demonstrated high internal consistency, test-retest reliability, content and construct validity of the prepared Russian version of the test. The empirical verification of the test in the groups of “norm” and patients with affective disorders confirms its diagnostic suitability for using in applied research.
