The article cites the work of justifying the legality of the search dependencies between morphometric indicators of MT and indicators of functional asymmetry of the brain. In the experimental studies aimed at the investigation of these dependencies, with mixed results. Studies on the eff ect of the male hormone on the size of MT are analyzed in the fi rst section. In the second section of the article discusses the work of trying to fi nd regularities between the size of MT and the degree of functional asymmetries. Th e results of these studies are interesting in the discussion about the function (braking and/or exciting) MT and its infl uence on the formation of anatomical and functional asymmetries. Of particular interest are the works of the third section, as they assumptions of dependence of the size of MT from the coincidence of speech and manual asymmetries.

Gusev A.N., Emelianova S.A. (2013). The role of personality self-regulation in threshold task performance: Mutual analysis of psychophysical measures and individual differences. The Moscow University Psychology Bulletin, 3, 76-92
The psychophysical research on loudness discrimination of tonal signals (method 2AFC) has been carried out, N=106. The influence of self-regulation (questionnaires: HAKEMP-90, Style of self-regulation of behavior, Self-organization of behavior) on RT and sensory sensitivity index A' was found out. The qualitative analysis of individual ways of discrimination of signals was carried out. The relationships between loudness discrimination effectiveness and self-regulation processes characteristics mediating the sensory task decision were revealed. The applying the principle of subject`s activity to traditional psychophysical research was accomplished in the frameworks of differential-psychological approach in psychophysics (A.N. Gusev). It is developed the idea that the variation of stimuli uncertainty leads to appropriate transformation of the functional organ (A.N. Leontiev, A.A. Ukhtomskiy) relevant to sensory discrimination task.

Balashova E.Yu., Shevelkova O.A. (2012). Definition of time with the clock in neuropsychological diagnostics: new life of a classical technique. The Moscow University Psychology Bulletin, 2, 104-111
In article the various questions connected with application in neuropsychological practice of a technique of definition of time on real and “mute” clock are discussed. The psychological structure of skill of definition of time with the clock, its communication with age, educational and gender factors is considered. The special attention is given to an estimation of possibilities of use of a technique at diagnostics of optic-spatial functions in a modern cultural situation.

Yegorova M.S.(2007). Development as the object of behavioral genetic studies. Moscow University Psychology Bulletin,3,57-68
Behavioral genetic studies of development address two problems: age changes of heritability and environmental influences, and contribution of genetic and environmental influences to developmental change. Experimental studies of the sources of individual differences combine longitudinal design and behavioral genetic methods, demanding participation in the study of genetically related individuals. The results of the studies allow disentangling genetic and environmental influences on developmental trajectories, change, continuity and covariance of psychological features.
