The paper presents an ontological conceptualization of the phenomenon of extremity, which is considered in the context of personality transformation in the trans-ordinary world. Methodological principles and scientific logic of conceptualization are proposed and specified in the following concepts: the experience of being and non-being, personality work, meaning and behavioral personality work, positive and negative extremity, the meaning of life and the meaning of death, the nature of the construction of psychological effects of extremity — psychic trauma and personal transformation.

The article is focused on psychic as a work and the psychological help as a phenomenon of care — the work of personality. In order to lighting the points of discussions on interaction between psychological theory and practice, the author analyses the variety of scientific views ant thoughts: A. Bergson L.S. Vygotsky, E. Gusserl, A.N. Leontiev, S.L. Rubinstein, M. Heidegger et al. In this work the idea of double transition: psychology to life and the life to psychology is suggested. This concept also conditions concepts of doubled horizon: immanent psychological and transcendent psychological. In that context the theory of temporal work of personality is developed to show the psychology of psychological help with its methodology, theory, psych technology, education, ethics, and way of life.
