“Moscow University Psychology Bulletin” has been published since 1977. It presents papers with the results of theoretical, empirical, methodological, analytical, applied and the other types of research carried out at the Psychology faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) as well as at various scientific organizations and universities. The journal is published quarterly.
The journal was established, organized and initially edited by prof. A.N. Leontyev (1977 – 1979). Further its editorial board was headed by the deans of Psychology faculty: prof. A.A. Bodalev (1980 – 1988), prof. E.A. Klimov (1989 – 2001), prof. A.I. Dontsov (2002 – 2006). Since 2007 prof. Yu.P. Zinchenko has been the editor-in-chef.
The first editorial team included such significant persons of Russian psychological science as A.N. Leontyev, A.R. Luria, P.Ya. Galperin, B.V. Zeigarnick, E.D. Khomskaya, O.K. Tikhomirov. In the positions of authors and reviewers they established rigorous requirements both to scientific level and editing and proofreading quality of papers submitted to the “Bulletin”. Those high standards have been maintained and provided by the scientific editors V.V. Luchkov (1977 – 1986) and T.A. Nezhnova (1987 – currently) jointly with the leading researchers from the MSU Psychology faculty, head of its chairs and the most prominent scientists engaged in that fruitful collaboration.
The journal is included into the list of leading peer-reviewed Russian journals, recommended by the Higher Attestation Committee.
The journal is registered in the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media. Registration ID ¹ 1559 of February, 14th 1991.
